Introduction
Experience
Tutoring:
I have experience teaching English to young children (3-6 years) who are non-native English speakers through approximately 1-2 hour sessions. I focus on making English fun and approachable through conversation, games, and activities. For older children (8-18 years), I have taught mathematics and science through approximately 1-3 hour sessions, helping them understand challenging concepts in a simple and engaging way. My tutoring experience includes children from toddlers through to adolescents, and I adapt activities to each child’s age, interests, and individual learning style to make learning enjoyable, engaging, and effective.
Family Childcare:
As the eldest in my family, I have regularly cared for younger siblings and cousins (1–17 years), with childcare ranging from a few hours to several days depending on the situation. I have helped with homework, activities, daily routines such as nappy changes and feeding, and keeping them entertained.
Children with Special Needs:
I have experience supporting young children with special needs (6-12 years) through tutoring and my work at the Child Health Research Centre. My support has included approximately 1-hour tutoring and care sessions, and I understand the importance of patience, flexibility, and adapting activities to each child’s individual needs.
English Support:
I have experience supporting children with special needs (6–12 years) through tutoring and my work at the Child Health Research Centre. This has included approximately 1-hour tutoring and care sessions, where I focus on creating a patient, supportive environment and adapting activities to suit each child’s individual needs, abilities, and learning style.
