Hello! My name is Karina, and I am a Brazilian living in Japan. I am a qualified nurse with a postgraduate degree in acupuncture from Brazil. I am fluent in English, and I am currently learning Japanese (N4 level). I also have hands-on experience as a babysitter in Japan, and I genuinely enjoy working with children. Some of my hobbies are painting , baking and singing. Therefore, I would love to do some arts and crafts, build things with Lego, singing and dancing, read books or bake some delicious snacks and have lots of fun with your children! I am dedicated, responsible, and excited to bring my care and attention to your family. I look forward to being your next trusted babysitter!

I can take care of more than 1 child (+¥500/h per child)

CANCELLATION POLICY (all timing is calculated based on the start time of the scheduled sitting)
48+ hours before the scheduled sitting: No cancellation fee
Between 48-24 hours: 50% of sitting fee
Within 24 hours: 100% of sitting fee (+ transportation cost if on the way)

Minha língua materna é português, mas sou fluente em inglês e atualmente estou aprendendo japonês (nível N4). I love children and I’ve been working as a babysitter for more than 5 years.

My experience as a babysitter involves taking care of children from 1 to 12 years old, playing in English and/or Portuguese, helping with small household tasks, feeding, changing diapers if needed, picking up from school and taking them home, attending children's events, playing outdoors and so on.

カリナさんはとても優しくて繊細な方で、人見知りする1歳半の娘も、すぐに慣れて穏やかに楽しく過ごしてくれました。最初は怖がってましたが、「娘さんが慣れるまで目の前で親御さんとお話をさせて欲しい」と言われました。ほんの10分程度で娘もすっかり怖がらなくなり、自分からおもちゃをあげて遊んだり、本を読んでとお願いしに行ったり、一緒に散歩まで行ってくれました。帰ってきたあとはお昼ご飯も作ってくれて、それを娘はパクパク食べてくれたので嬉しかったです。3時間はあっという間でしたが、風邪で寝込んでいたママにとってはすごく助かりました。

ベビーシッターはあまりお願いしたことがないですが、過去にはママを休ませようと他の方にお願いしことがありました。休む目的でお願いしたにも関わらず、指示を細かくしないといけなかったり、不安と心配な気持ちで気になって返って疲れたことが何度もありました。カリナさんはしっかり言語化しきれなかった要望も察してくれたり、一緒にいて変に気を使わなくてよかったです。

子供にも親にも優しいカリナさんに会えて本当によかったです。

Karina is a wonderfully kind and gentle person. Even my 1.5-year-old daughter, who is usually shy around strangers, got used to her quickly and had a calm, enjoyable time. At first, my daughter was a bit scared, but Karina suggested, "Please let me chat with you in front of her until she gets used to me." In just about 10 minutes, my daughter's fear already faded away. She started offering her toys, bringing books to be read to her, and they even went for a walk together. After they returned, Karina prepared lunch for her, and my daughter happily had every bite. The three hours flew by, and it was an absolute lifesaver for a mom stuck in bed with a cold.
We haven't used babysitters much, but we have hired others in the past to try and get some rest. However, despite hiring them so my wife could rest, she often had to give overly detailed instructions or felt so anxious and worried that my wife ended up more exhausted. Karina, on the other hand, anticipated needs that we couldn't even fully articulate, and we didn't feel any awkward pressure to be overly accommodating while she was here.
I am truly grateful to have met Karina, who is this much caring to both children and parents.

Karina was an absolute lifesaver for our family while my husband was in the ICU. Caring for a one- and two-year-old at the same time is very hard, but she handled both of my children with so much patience, confidence, and genuine competence that I immediately felt comfortable trusting her with them during an incredibly stressful time. She is attentive, dependable, calm, and wonderful with young children, and the fact that she is trilingual is such an impressive bonus.

My little Olivia liked and trusted Kani from the first minutes, which I was very happy to see. Kani was calm and kind and cheerful, good at interacting with my 20 months old daughter, and overall very helpful.

Karina is a great sitter and a lovely person. We had in mind to have someone that can push a bit the English and Portuguese out of the girls, so Karina was a nice fit.
