Hello! My name is Angeli, and I’m originally from the Philippines. I’ve lived in Japan for several years and am currently raising my 4-year-old son in Tokyo. I’ve always had a deep love for babies and toddlers. Growing up in a culture where caring for children was shared within the community gave me early experience with little ones.
I’ve worked as a preschool English teacher in Japan and also have many years of hands-on experience caring for children in my family and neighborhood. Becoming a parent myself deepened my understanding of how capable and unique each child is when we give them time, trust, and respect. My caregiving style is gentle and child-led, inspired by Montessori and positive parenting principles.
In addition to my professional and personal caregiving experience, I’ve explored early childhood development at home through: ✓ Play-based literacy ✓ Respectful communication and independent routines ✓ Right-brain learning methods — Through this approach, my son began reading independently at 2.5 years old. If your family is interested in early learning, I’d be happy to support your child’s development in a way that’s natural and fun.
When caring for children, I enjoy: ➤ Storytelling and book time ➤ Singing and movement ➤ Nature walks and pretend-play ➤ Simple crafts and child-led discovery Whether it’s a calm moment or energetic play, I follow the child’s mood and interests while helping them feel safe, respected, and heard.
Language skills: • Fluent in English • Can communicate in basic Japanese (still learning, but happy to try!) • Native Tagalog speaker
I’m especially comfortable with: • Toddlers and preschoolers • Shy or sensitive children • Children still building confidence and independence
Outside of childcare, I love exploring fun spots in Tokyo with my son, discovering parenting tips on Instagram, and unwinding with movies or a bit of karaoke for some extra joy and energy! I would love the opportunity to support your family with warmth, patience, and care. Looking forward to connecting with you!

Angeli was extremely professional, compassionate, and responsible! As tourists, this was our first time using Carefinder and Angeli made it feel easy and safe. She arrived promptly and asked questions that demonstrated she was prepared. We felt totally comfortable leaving our daughter in her care for the evening. Could not recommend her more highly!
