I’m spending the month of October in Kyoto, so I’m currently unavailable for babysitting requests in Tokyo until November. However, I’d love to accept babysitting and hotel-sitting requests in Kyoto and the surrounding areas during October! 😊

I have professional babysitting experience caring for toddlers through to school-age children. My experience includes daytime care, play and activities, English support through everyday communication and homework, meal preparation, bath time, bedtime routines, and hotel sitting. I have also cared for children with a range of needs, including children on the autism spectrum, and I am comfortable adapting to each child’s age, personality, routine, and family preferences.

I have always been very active through various sports including boxing, netball and swimming, and I spend a lot of time outdoors. I also enjoy cooking and baking for my family, as well as reading and playing the piano. I love animals and have previously volunteered with a pet rescue organisation. イギリス・ウェールズ出身で、複数の言語を話す教育者です。これまで約20年間、さまざまな形で子どもたちと関わってきました。そのうち15年以上は、教育・保育の分野で経験を積んでいます。

日本には12年間住んでおり、ここ8年間は主に幼児教育に携わっています。

・お子さまの追加：1名につき＋500円
・24時間以内の急な予定変更：ご予約時の基本料金1時間分を追加で頂戴いたします

・早朝・深夜のご依頼： 8:00前または22:00以降は＋500円／時間
・交通費：実費を別途頂戴いたします

🎨 趣味・好きなこと

昔から、絵を描くこと、書道、音楽、歌、ダンス、水泳、アート・クラフト、ボランティアなど、創造的で実際に手を動かして楽しめる活動が好きです。

そのほかにも、料理、読書、写真、科学、文学、舞台芸術、さまざまな文化や言語に触れることも好きで、特に旅行を通して異なる文化や言語を知ることを楽しんでいます。

こうした私自身の興味や経験も、子どもたちとの遊びや活動に自然に取り入れています。

子どもたちが「やってみたい！」と思ったことを大切にしながら、遊びや会話を通して、自由に探究したり、創造したり、質問したりできる時間を作ることを心がけています。

I am a multilingual educator from Wales, U.K., with a multicultural background and nearly 20 years of experience working with children, including over 15 years in education and childcare.

I have been living in Japan for 12 years, and for the past eight years, I have specialised in early childhood education working with young children.

* Additional child: +¥500/hr per additional child
* Last minute schedule changes (requested within 24 hours of the sitting): +1 hour of the agreed base hourly rate for changes requested within 24 hours of the sitting
* Sessions extending beyond the booked end time: Charged in 30-minute increments
* Early morning/late-night bookings: +¥500/hr (before 8:00 a.m. or after 10:00 p.m.)
* Weekends / School and National holidays: +¥500/hr
* Transportation: charged separately at the actual fare

🎨 My Interests

I have always enjoyed creative and hands-on activities, including drawing, calligraphy, music, singing, dancing, swimming, arts and crafts, and volunteering. I also enjoy cooking, reading, photography, science, literature, performing arts, and exploring different cultures and languages, especially through travel.

Many of these interests naturally become part of the activities and experiences I create for children. I love encouraging children to explore, create, ask questions, and develop confidence through meaningful play and interaction.

My goal is to provide warm, high-quality childcare that is tailored to each family’s individual needs. I also have experience supporting families who prefer a higher level of privacy and discretion.

As an educator, I incorporate principles from the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), focusing on inquiry-based and child-led learning. I am also inspired by Reggio Emilia and Montessori philosophies, which value children’s independence, curiosity, creativity, and natural development.
These approaches are reflected not only in my teaching but also in the childcare experiences I provide for families.
