Hi, my name is Miya. I am midway through an Occupational Therapy Degree at Australian Catholic University, Sydney, Australia. I am currently residing in Japan to live, work and experience my Japanese culture. I will outline my experience working with children below, and can provide references on request.

From 2023 to 2025 I worked as a learning support educator (SLSO) at a primary school in Australia. My role included providing targeted learning and behavioural support strategies to students with additional needs, including disability, learning difficulties, and social-emotional challenges. I was also tasked with assisting teachers in the classroom and performing student academic assessments.

Prior to that I worked as an After School Care Educator, where I supervised and supported children aged 5 to 12 years old. My role included planning and facilitating activities to promote social, emotional, and physical development, and to build genuine relationships with the children and their families. The range of activities included arts and crafts, cooking lessons and sports programs.

I also have 5 years’ babysitting experience, looking after children of various ages. I currently only speak English, but am learning Japanese whilst I am living here.

48+ hours before the scheduled sitting: No cancellation fee
Between 48-24 hours: 50% of sitting fee
Within 24 hours: 100% of sitting fee (+ transportation cost if on the way)
