Hello! my name is Marika. I am originally from California and moved to Tokyo to attend Sophia University. I am currently a fourth-year student.
I have 6 years experience of babysitting children between ages 1-13 years-old. I also have two years of experience in teaching English to elementary and middle school students.
I am bilingual in English and Japanese and am happy to use whichever is preferred. I enjoy playing with kids, including taking them to the park, doing arts and crafts, and playing games.
Regarding location, on the Namboku Line, I am available anywhere between Meguro Station to Yotsuya Station. Also on the Tokyu Meguro Line, anywhere between Meguro Station to Hiyoshi Station.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Marika has been courteous, professional and sweet from the moment we met her. We feel very lucky to have met Marika and really appreciate her caring for our son. He can’t wait to spend more time with her in the near future.
Marika was referred to us when our other sitter was busy on a night our friends asked us out to dinner. She did a great job entertaining our 3 year old in our hotel room, would gladly use her again.
Marika was amazing! Our family of three boys (7, 6, and 4) is traveling with another family of two children (7 and 4) and Marika helped us enjoy a couple of grown-up evenings out. She was responsible, enthusiastic, and engaging, staying in close contact with both my wife and I throughout her shift, and was very flexible in accommodating some last-minute schedule changes. All of the children enjoyed their time with her and both my wife and I were very happy. We hope she is available next time we visit Tokyo.
Marika is polite and easy talk to. I can tell she enjoys interacting with children by hearing her babysitting and tutoring experiences such as doing crafts and playing games with them in both America and Japan!
