Nice to meet you,
I am from America, and I can speak English and Japanese (JLPT level N1). I am currently a student in at a Japanese university. I have two dogs at home in America, so I am able to take care of them if needed.
I like children very much, and I want to be able to help families who have young children, as that time can be very difficult to handle alone. I hope to be an ally to the parents and child, in both their happiest and saddest times.
In America, I worked at a Kumon for two years, where I helped young children with their their math and English classwork, and afterwards sometimes read storybooks together. Then, in Japan, I started babysitting with Carefinder one year ago. I have taken care of children from two months old to five years old, playing with lots of toys, going to the park, reading picture books, and having fun in English.
I look forward to the opportunities of taking care of your little ones!
I have experience babysitting children between 2 months and 5 years old.
With infants, I have experience:
- bottle feeding
- diaper changing
- soothing to sleep
- gentle playing / exercise
With older children, I have experience:
- picking up from daycare
- playing with toys and games
- playing outside
- reading picture books
- feeding meals
- taking a bath
- drying hair
- helping with English homework.
I worked at Kumon in America for two years, and I primarily worked with children who were four to seven years old by helping them with and teaching English and math homework.
I grew up in the USA, and my native language is English. I have passed the N1 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).

She took a very good care of our 5 months old! Thank you Lauren
She has been sweet from the moment we met her. Really appreciate her care for our son. He can’t wait to spend more time with Lauren.
Lauren was sweet and patient with my 5-year-old daughter. We look forward to having her over again!
Lauren was nice and sweet. She played with my daughter and made her laugh. It was tough on her since it was first time for Anaya to be alone with a sitter. My daughter started crying after an hour and I had to come back. It would have been nice if she had changed her diaper and been a bit more lively to calm her down. Overall it was fine.
Lauren was on time for her interview, and kept a smile on her face the whole time. She is excited to make new connections with our CareFinder families!
