This month, we’d like to introduce you to Mikka!

 

Mikka is a mom who raised 2 children in the United States, Japan and Taiwan. While her children are all grown up, having graduated university and now working in the US, Mikka has continued to work with children and now has over 10 years of experience babysitting. She even has experience nannying for an American family living in Japan taking care of their 3 children and 2 dogs for 5 years. Mikka became so close with that family that she even travelled with them twice a year on their family vacations to Hawaii and Cape Cod!

 

In addition to her many years of experience babysitting, Mikka is also a certified movie subtitle translator and Japanese teacher and is multilingual in her ability to speak Japanese and English fluently, and Spanish conversationally. As an excellent cook and a dog-lover, Mikka is flexible and takes initiative in providing the best experience for the families she works with. Families who have worked with her always rave about her and note that it is obvious Mikka just simply enjoys being with children. Mikka loves to play games, read, make art and crafts and cook healthy meals with children.

 

We asked Mikka to answer a few questions to get to know her better:

 

I enjoy children; they are all angels in their own unique way!

I love to cook, read and meet up with my friends. I also enjoy playing duplicate bridge and golf couple times a month :-)
